Please join Vermont Catholic Professionals for a networking breakfast at the Pomerleau Alumni Center at St. Michael’s College in Colchester on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Mark Redmond, executive director of Spectrum Youth and Family Services in Burlington, will be the professional development speaker.

This free event will begin with networking and refreshments at 8 a.m. followed by the speaker then more networking and discussion. Redmond earned a degree in finance and landed a position at a Madison Avenue firm and lived in a studio apartment off Park Avenue in New York City. Then he walked away from that life to begin helping homeless and runaway teens full time. He’ll tell his story and how his Catholic faith played a key part in this decision.

Vermont Catholic Professionals was established in 2018 to fill the void of a networking group to create fellowship for professionals that also share values of the Catholic faith. There are several local networking organizations in the Burlington area that are a great way for people to connect with other professionals; however, there were not any that are faith-based. Being able to connect with another individual that shares both your values and interests leads to a deeper connection and helps one develop professionally, personally and spiritually.

The purpose of Vermont Catholic Professionals is to join Catholic men and women and others with shared values from the business and professional communities to encourage intellectual discussions, to foster professional and faith-based relationships and to inspire service and charity to the community in Vermont.

Vermont Catholic Professionals will be hosting quarterly events that offer networking, refreshments and a professional development speaker that is relevant to the business and professional communities here in Vermont. I look forward to seeing you there!
