Burlington Bishop-elect John McDermott has made the following clergy appointments:

  • Father Robert Murphy is appointed administrator of Most Holy Trinity Parish based in Barton.
  • Father Gregory Caldwell is appointed parochial vicar of St. Augustine Parish in Montpelier and St. Monica Parish in Barre.
  • Father Victor Cruz, HGN, is appointed administrator of St. Charles Parish in Bellows Falls and Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Townshend with responsibility for Chapel of the Snows at Stratton.
  • Father John Feltz is granted senior priest status.
  • Father Brandon Schneider is appointed administrator of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Middlebury and St. Bernadette Parish in Bridport.
  • Father Domenico Pizzonia is appointed administrator of St. Thomas Parish in Underhill Center and Assumption (St. Mary) Parish in Cambridge.
  • Father Curtis Miller is appointed administrator of St. Ann Parish in Milton.
  • Father Romanus Igweonu is appointed parochial vicar of St. Raphael Parish in Poultney, Our Lady of Seven Dolors Parish in Fair Haven, St. John the Baptist Parish in Castleton, and St. Paul Parish in Orwell.
  • Father Luke Austin is appointed director of The Catholic Center at the University of Vermont in Burlington while retaining his current diocesan responsibilities as judicial vicar and delegate for clergy.
  • Father Luis Barrera-Hernandez is appointed parochial vicar of All Saints Parish in Richford and St. John the Baptist Parish in Enosburg Falls.

All appointments are effective on July 1 with the exception of Father Schneider’s and Father Austin’s which are effective on Aug. 12.
