Mission: The School of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales is dedicated to providing excellence in academics and a deepening faith in God and Gospel values. In an environment that is caring, challenging, and respectful, our school strives to develop in every student the habits of thinking critically and acting responsibly in daily life.

Our youth nominee is eighth grader Catherine Morrissey.

She is an honor student who willingly gives of her time and talent to help make our school and parish community a better place. Whenever there is a call for volunteers, Catherine is always first in line. Her joyful spirit and enthusiasm only complements her ability to get things done. When school ended, she immediately began working at a STEM camp for students in kindergarten through grade 2 at our school. She was present at our golf tournament, helping with arrangements and registration.

Catherine is a member of our school band and chorus. She recently starred as the “Wicked Witch” in our school’s production of “The Wizard of Oz.” She has volunteered at parish-sponsored activities and was our school’s ambassador during our school’s recent accreditation visit. Catherine also lectors at school Masses.

She is a true witness to the love of Jesus and is an excellent role model for other students.
