Open Door Mission event to honor MSJ alumni

First Annual event of The Open Door Mission, celebrating special community members and their dedication to the Mission.

Saturday, May 5, 6 pm

The Elks Club, 44 Pleasant Street, Rutland

Executive Director of the Mission, Sharon Garafano Russell (’65)

Honorees are Father Richard Tinney (’57) who will receive the Humanitarian Award and Larry Cupoli (’65) will receive the Veteran Service Award in honor of LCpl Jody Fish (’65) who served in the US Marine Corps and lost his life in Vietnam. Also receiving awards are Scott Brilyea as Volunteer of the Year and Al Paul who will receive the Heart of the Mission award.

There will be 6 pm hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar followed by 7 pm dinner and the Awards Ceremony. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased by calling Tammy Duclos at the Mission before 2:00 pm at 775-5661. Last day to buy tickets is April 25th. All proceeds will benefit The Open Door Mission.
