Favorite Tricks for Organizing Your Research April 28, 2018
One challenge all genealogists have in common is how to organize all of the documents, images, letters, emails and conversations we’ve accumulated. How many times have you searched endlessly for a document you know you saved? And how often have you thought you knew a fact – but not known HOW you knew it? Not every tool works for every researcher – so our panel of experienced genealogists will share an assortment of techniques, methods and tools that work for them, some of which will resonate with your research style. They’ll cover online tools, file folder systems, hard-disk organization and note-taking databases like “Evernote” & Microsoft’s “OneNote”.Classes at the Vermont Genealogy Library are $10 and run from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The library is located on Hegeman Ave, Fort Ethan Allen, Colchester. Visit our website www.vtgenlib.org or call 802-310-9285 for more details. Visitors and folks new to research are always welcome. Bring what you know and someone will help you get started.
