October 28 @ 10:30 am

An Acadian Genealogy Primer will be presented by Donlon Hurtubise on Oct. 28. The expulsion of Acadians from what is now called Nova Scotia was a major event in Canada’s early history. It sent many of them not only to Louisiana but also to England, France, and many U.S. colonies. They also arrived in Quebec, and it has been estimated that half of those with French-Canadian heritage have at least one Acadian family line. This class will take place via Zoom from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10. Visit vtgenlib.org for additional details and for registration.
