Education: Leicester Academy, Leicester, Massachusetts; Holy Cross College, Worcester, Massachusetts; Laval University, Montreal, Canada; Urban College of the Propaganda, Rome, Italy.
Ordination to the Priesthood: September 29, 1894, Springfield, Massachusetts, by Bishop Beaven, of Springfield. Successively engaged in pastoral work in the Diocese of Springfield and among the Indians of Northern Maine, member of the faculty of St. John’s Seminary, Brighton, Massachusetts.
Ordination to the Episcopacy: Elevated to the espiscopacy by Pope Pius X to the See of Burlington, January 8, 1910. Consecrated, April 14, 1910, Burlington, by Bishop Beaven, of Springfield, assisted by Bishop Harkins, of Providence, and Bishop Walsh, of Portland.
Death: Died at 67, April 1, 1938; buried in Resurrection Park, South Burlington, Vermont. Years of episcopacy: 28 years, 2 months and 23 days as Bishop of Burlington.
