Ordination to the Priesthood: August 10, 1905, Rome, by Archbishop Cepetelli, patriarch of Constantinople and vicegerent of Rome. Engaged in pastoral work in the Archdiocese of Boston, 1905-1944. Chaplain in the United States Army, 1919-1920.
Ordination to the Episcopacy: Elevated to the episcopacy by Pope Pius XII to the See of Burlington, November 11, 1944. Consecrated, January 3, 1945, Boston, by Archbishop Cushing, of Boston, assisted by Archbishop Spellman, of New York, and Bishop Keough, of Providence. Installed, February 7, 1945.
Death: Died at 77, November 3, 1956, buried Resurrection Park, South Burlington, Vermont. Years of episcopacy: 11 years, 8 months and 24 days.
