COLCHESTER--Discover how Winooski was founded, who first settled here and why its citizens moved to establish a separate municipality. Peruse photos from the era and hear stories from Winooski's French Canadian and Irish past. Anastasia Pratt is the Clinton County, N.Y., historian and the co-author of "Images of America: Winooski,” a pictorial history developed with the assistance of the Winooski Historical Society. She will give a presentation on Winooski’s history and heritage at the Vermont Genealogy Library Feb. 25. Classes at the Vermont Genealogy Library are $5 and run from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
